Successful Digital Asset Management Case Study for a Leading Tech Company | AEM Assets Enhances Brand and Collaboration Processes

Customer Introduction:
This case features a global leading technology company operating across multiple sectors including telecom equipment, consumer electronics, and enterprise digital solutions. With over 170,000 employees worldwide, the company serves customers in more than 90 countries and collaborates closely with thousands of external partners, committed to driving global digital transformation through innovation.

Solution: Digital Asset Management System, AEM Assets

Background and Challenges

The company operates in over 90 countries, collaborating with global internal marketing teams and more than 1,000 external suppliers to produce a large volume of digital assets including images, videos, design files, presentations, and product manuals. However, prior to the project launch, the company lacked a formal Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.

Most assets were stored on employees’ personal hard drives, USBs, cloud storage (such as Baidu Cloud), or shared via email, leading to:

  • Version chaos and repeated asset creation
  • Difficulty in unified categorization and search
  • Lack of approval workflows, increasing security risks
  • Inefficient collaboration with suppliers and no tracking of revision history

These issues were amplified by the company’s global scale, resulting in inconsistent branding and slow market responsiveness that failed to meet strategic demands.

Solution

The Leadstec team recommended and assisted in implementing Adobe Experience Manager Assets (AEM Assets), customizing a scalable, centralized, and secure DAM solution to build a complete asset management and approval platform from the ground up.
