The Challenge

The client faced significant challenges with the management of multilingual content across their digital channels. They were spending an enormous amount of time on language administration tasks such as cutting and pasting content, uploading and downloading files, managing vendor communications, and manually overseeing translation and quality assurance (QA) processes. Despite trialing various AI translation tools, the quality and user experience did not meet the client’s expectations, leading to inefficiencies and delays. Additionally, the client preferred to keep all content within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to maintain full control over their digital assets.

With various markets requiring different levels of oversight and control over the language process, the client needed a more streamlined, automated, and efficient way to manage content translation—one that reduced manual efforts, improved translation quality, and maintained their desired control and governance.

The Solution

LeadsTech collaborated with Transprefect to implement GlobalLink Enterprise Plus (GLE) integrated with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service for the client. The goal was to enable efficient content translation while eliminating manual processes and reducing translation rework.

By leveraging GlobalLink Enterprise’s powerful localization features, the client was able to streamline their entire translation workflow, allowing them to integrate multilingual content management directly into AEM with minimal friction.

The Solution 2

Key components of the solution included:

1. Seamless Integration with AEM

GlobalLink Enterprise Plus for AEM as a Cloud Service was integrated with AEM, enabling automated workflows for translation without leaving the AEM platform. Pages were sent for translation directly from AEM to GlobalLink Enterprise, and once translated, the content was automatically pulled back into AEM, ensuring synchronization between source and target languages.

2. First-Pass AI Translation for Efficiency

The solution introduced first-pass AI translation, significantly reducing translation costs and rework. While AI translations provided a strong foundation, human translators could still refine and adjust content in GlobalLink’s online review tool, allowing for high-quality translations and quick iterations.

3. Granular Control Over Translation Workflows

With GlobalLink’s advanced features, client could fine-tune translation workflows according to the varying requirements of different markets. The solution provided granular control over the synchronization of source and target content, ensuring the right level of oversight while minimizing manual intervention.

4. On-Page Preview and Review Tools

The On-Page Preview (OPP) functionality allowed client to review translated pages in context, ensuring the translations were accurate and aligned with the website's user experience. Reviewers could modify target content, add comments, and update translation memories, while working in collaboration with other team members through real-time updates.

5. Translation Memory and Terminology Management

The integration of server-based translation memory and terminology management allowed client to leverage existing translations, ensuring consistency across languages and reducing redundancy. Translators could access a shared, secure environment for managing terminology, ensuring the right terms were used throughout the site.

6. Real-Time Reporting and Analytics

With built-in reporting tools, client could track and analyze translation performance in real time, identify trends, and forecast future translation needs. This data-driven approach allowed the team to optimize their workflows and make informed decisions on translation processes.
